Autumn Bernedoodle Puppies

Oregon Goldendoodle puppy in Fall

Wait, where did September and October go? Here at High Desert Family Doodles, our fall has absolutely FLOWN by. Our days have been full of nurturing youngsters, traveling across the country, basking in the cool glory, processing a whole cow for dog food, and spending time with two beautiful litters of Bernedoodle puppies, plus a litter of mini Goldendoodle puppies! As the adage goes, “the days are long, but the years are short!”. While it does feel like the past couple months have gone by so quickly, they seem so full as we look back on them. Here’s what we’ve been up to!

Mini Goldendoodle in West Linn and Lake Oswego

This mini Goldendoodle Rudy is a boy’s best friend!

This fall, we’ve had the opportunity to raise three beautiful litters of puppies! The first of which was a mini goldendoodle litter, themed “Summer Harvest”. This litter was Miss Winnie’s retirement litter, and it was a glorious litter to end with. Winnie had a spectacular litter of eight mini goldendoodle puppies, which was duel-sired by Luca and Rudy. Always the consummate momma, Winnie did a fabulous job caring for these mini goldendoodle puppies, raising some of our mini Goldendoodle puppies to date. The majority of this litter found homes here in Oregon, with several of the goldendoodle puppies calling Portland, Oregon home. However, one of the puppies is living it up in the Los Angeles, California sunshine, while another of the puppies splits time between Washington and Florida.

This mini Bernedoodle puppy is enjoying his lookout here in Central Oregon!

Our Bernedoodle Klaire gave birth to our next litter of mini Bernedoodle puppies. Klaire litter has six mini bernedoodles in it, and they are stunning, and absolutely adore people. It does definitely help that these mini Bernedoodle puppies are continually held and cuddled by our kids and their friends when they come over to visit. This was Klaire’s second litter, and she also came into her own as a mom throughout this litter. Klaire beautifully turned a corner with her maternal instincts, and did a great job caring and protecting here mini Bernedoodle puppies. These puppies have also demonstrated a great training proclivity, and have learned the clicker and are continuing their manding training. Klaire’s mini Bernedoodle puppies go home this weekend, and most of these puppies will also calling Oregon home, while one of them will live in Walnut Creek, California, and another mini Bernedoodle puppy will go to Edmonds, Washington.

Portland Oregon Mini Bernedoodle to New Jersey

Mr. Winstion - a mini bernedoodle - is enjoying his new home in New Jersey

Belle didn't want Klaire to be alone with her litter, so Belle also had a litter of six bernedoodle puppies a couple weeks after Klaire. Just like last time, both of these litters looked remarkably similar. They each had a mixture of tricolored and abstract phantom puppies. If they happened to ever be in the same pen, it would’ve been quite tough to separate these two litters. It only makes sense, because both litters were sired by our Moyen poodle Brownie. Belle proved to be a tremendous mom as well, showing a fabulous maternal instinct with these medium bernedoodle puppies. This Bernedoodle half-dozen had a beautiful time with us; it was full of play, pets, and the occasional puppy “woof”. The majority of this bernedoodle litter are heading to homes here in Oregon. However, one of the puppies is headed to Seattle, Washington, and another bernedoodle puppy is going from West coast to East coast and New Jersey.

Redmond and Bend mini Goldendoodle puppies

Rosie’s petite goldendoodle litter was just born; look at all that beauty!

If that wasn’t enough cuteness, our petite Goldendoodle Rosie just had a litter of petite Goldendoodle puppies this past week. There were five boys and two girls, along with a RAINBOW of colors. There were two merle phantoms, one tri-colored parti, and four apricot puppies. We may have a spot or two open in this litter after we genetically test the puppies, but it’s currently full at this point. Many of these puppies will be going to homes in Oregon, but we also have one headed to San Diego, California, and another one potentially going to West Virginia. These first couple weeks, we will are keeping a close eye on the puppies along with starting ENS/ESI, and weighing them daily. Puppies are really sensitive during this window, so we need to be vigilant, while also beginning their curriculum.

As we look forward to the winter, we can confirm Honey’s pregnancy in a three weeks, and are expecting Yose and Maple to go into heat in the next month. That would hopefully lead to some Goldendoodles and Bernedoodles in the upcoming months. In the meantime, we’ll be focusing on Rosie’s mini Goldendoodle puppies over the next couple months, along with doing some health-testing on some hopeful upcoming Goldendoodle and Bernedoodle moms, so stay tuned for some formal introductions!

Warmly,

Erin and Jay
