Frequently Asked Questions

How do I get on your puppy wait list?

Please read our contract details and fill out an application found on our Goldendoodle and Bernedoodle puppy information page! We will contact you about your spot on our wait list and next steps for verification.

When can I expect to pick up my puppy?

Our Bernedoodle and Goldendoodle puppies will stay with us until they are at least 8 weeks old depending on development, your travel arrangements and availability for pick-up with us in Oregon. We’ve had people drive from Hillsboro and Seattle to pick up their bernedoodle or goldendoodle!

How do you do Bernedoodle, Goldendoodle selections?

Once our litter is born we will contact our wait list in the order of the list (payment), for litter preference confirmation. We plan for puppy ‘selection’ at 6 weeks of age, also in order of the list. If we can’t agree on the right puppy at your pick, we can hold your spot on the list for the following litter.

Most selections will happen over FaceTime, but we can talk about meet and greet options if you’re close to us in Oregon: around Bend or Portland. The safety of our Goldendoodle and Bernedoodle litters during their early development is a top priority.

We will keep our future puppy owners informed with videos and photos and weekly updates on their pup until pick-up.

What health testing do you do on your puppies?

We will only health test our puppies that are bought for breeding, but our mamas and studs are Embark panel tested or Canine Health Check cleared, and will be OFA hip, elbow, patella, eye and heart tested before breeding. We’re “Good Dog” and “GANA” (Goldendoodle Association of North America) certified breeders, and follow high standards for quality assurance. We will not breed dogs that carry genes or traits that could potentially affect the litter’s health.

What if my puppy doesn’t ‘work out’?

If for any reason you want to re-home your puppy, seller communication is required and written into the contract. You have 72 hours to verify health status of your Goldendoodle or Bernedoodle puppy with your local vet for buyer validation if desired. We are also committed to a two year health guarantee for your puppy and will intervene if you have any genetic health issues you find during that window. We want our puppy families to be happy and will be in full communication during the buying process, and would love to keep in touch as your puppy grows.

Can I register my pup?

Yes! If you’re taking home a Goldendoodle, the paperwork to register your pup in the GANA network will be included with your welcome packet, along with parent genetics.

Did you know - Americans are most familiar with “AKC” or “ACA” as purebred clubs, but currently Goldendoodles and Bernedoodles are not recognized as a purebred because they are a ‘mixed designer breed’ animal. (Golden retriever and Poodle mix) In 2020, the AKC recognized both Golden Retrievers and Poodles as top 6 most popular breeds of the year.
