Christmas Goldendoodle Puppies!
Hey everyone! Here’s your update on what’s going on here at High Desert Family Doodles. Rosie’s mini Goldendoodle puppies are continuing to grow, and getting ready to go home in a few weeks. At the same time, Honey is getting closer and closer to her due date, and her next litter of medium goldendoodle puppies. Along side of this, we’re hoping to add a new Goldendoodle momma to our pack from some other Golden Retriever and Goldendoodle breeders here in Oregon. Finally, we’re awaiting to see which of our females will enter heat next: we think we have some guesses, but are continually surprised. So come along with us to hear more about what’s going on!
Rosie’s Holiday Litter of Petite Goldendoodle puppies are all here!
Rosie’s holiday litter of petite Goldendoodle puppies are moving around, learning how to bark, play, and be curious. To them, the world is a treasure to explore and sniff, although it can be awfully busy for them. These little love bug puppies enjoy cuddling with their mom, pushing around their newest toys, and meeting new people. These seven puppies - who have a wide array of coat textures and colors - are currently slated to find homes all across the country, from east coast to west coast in Washington, Oregon, and California. We are currently planning on keeping one of the females from this litter to hopefully be a future momma for us, but we don’t know which one yet. However, we will know here in a couple weeks. In the meantime, we will continue to cuddle each one of these little puppy treasures until they head out to their forever homes the week before Christmas!

While Rosie’s petite goldendoodle puppies are moving and exploring, Honey’s medium goldendoodle litter is getting closer to their due date of December 12th! Honey has really began to show her momma belly over this past week, and has been slowing down and seeking cuddles. We confirmed her pregnancy via ultrasound a couple weeks ago. While it’s extremely tough to count puppies on an ultrasound, we saw quite a few puppy sacks and feel like she may have a rather large litter. Honey will get an X-ray in the next couple weeks to give us a more accurate goldendoodle puppy count (typically within one puppy), and will begin to prepare for this litter to arrive in early-mid December. Honey has been such a wonderful, caring momma to her goldendoodle puppies, so we are excited for this next litter.

December also brings another fun arrival, where we will be bringing a new English Cream Golden Retriever mom into our program! This Golden Retriever will be from Sweet Pine Puppies in Sheridan, Oregon, and is from a litter that Mango sired. While we are doing some initial genetic testing to see which puppy will fit our desired profile, she will be joining us in the middle of the month. This lovely Golden Retriever puppy will be living outside of Bend/Redmond Oregon in a guardian home, and they are ecstatic to gain such a beautiful new companion.

Finally, we are waiting for which of our female’s will come into season next. We have a number of families who are patiently awaiting their goldendoodle and bernedoodle puppy. So we are waiting for nature to show up, and figure out who will be the next momma for us. This is one of the trickier aspects of breeding, because we can plan based on previous rhythms and projected schedules, but it rarely goes exactly as planned. We like to view it as a wonderful surprise, while also knowing that people are eagerly awaiting their puppies. So we’re currently being patient to see which Goldendoodle or Bernedoodle it will be.
