Initial Requirements of a Guardian Home:
While we appreciate inquiries from Washington, Idaho, or surrounding NW states, a HDFD guardian must live within Oregon; preferably Central Oregon: more local to our home in Madras.
Have a secure, fenced yard
Provide required nutrition, proper training, and grooming at guardian cost
Provide pet insurance as the dog has this unique ‘shared ownership’ to cover emergent incidents (all routine vet exams and vaccines are covered by us)
Make dogs available for above mentioned circumstances, and coordinate and assist with visits to HDFD headquarters.

Guardians for the parents of our goldendoodle and bernedoodle puppies
Here at High Desert Family Doodles, we believe that dogs were meant to live in a pack that supports and cares for them. The best place for one of our Doodles is in a home with a loving family they will from the start call ‘forever.’ Healthy and secure Bernedoodle and Goldendoodle puppies come from healthy and secure parents, and a guardian program is one way for each of our future dams and sires to get all the love and care that they need!

A Free Goldendoodle or Bernedoodle?
Families that are selected as guardians will essentially receive the pick of the litter for FREE, while we retain breeding rights of the Bernedoodle or Goldendoodle for a specified amount of time. The dog would stay in the guardian’s home throughout the year, returning to us for particular windows of time for things such as breeding, whelping, and testing. Once the breeding window has closed, we will have them spayed or neutered, and then transfer full ownership to the guardian.
