GOLDENDOODLE BREEDER — TACOMA, WA
Goldendoodle Puppies for Tacoma & Pierce County
We've already had the joy of placing bernedoodle puppies with Tacoma families, and we're excited to also be placing goldendoodles to the South Sound as well. Pierce County has a particular kind of energy — the waterfront, the parks, the community feel — and goldendoodles tend to thrive in exactly that environment.
High Desert Family Doodles is located in Madras, Oregon, about four hours south of Tacoma. We are Oregon's only goldendoodle breeder holding both a GANA Gold Level and a Good Dog certification, and we raise our puppies in our home on the Puppy Culture and BadAss Breeder curriculum. The families who come to us are usually people who've done their homework and care deeply about where their puppy comes from.

Health tested, home raised, genuinely cared for
We know what Tacoma families hope for in a dog: something warm and friendly, good with kids, able to enjoy a walk along the waterfront or an afternoon at Point Defiance. We yearn for that for your family too — and we believe it starts with getting the breeding right.
All of our goldendoodle parents pass OFA hip, elbow, patella, cardiac, and eye screenings, plus genetic panels, before they ever enter our program. GANA and Good Dog set the bar, and we meet it — not because we have to, but because we know it matters for the life of your dog. Our puppies come with a two-year written health guarantee.
We offer mini, medium, and standard goldendoodles.
How we raise our puppies
Every puppy is born and raised inside our family home, and they experience the personal connection that comes from a family caring for them from day one. This starts from nearly the beginning, where we start Early Neurological Stimulation and Early Scent Introduction in the first week, and build from there using the Puppy Culture and BadAss Breeder curriculum. By the time your puppy comes home to Tacoma, they've been exposed to a wide range of people, sounds, and situations — and they've started learning to handle the world with curiosity rather than fear. They’ll be a confident dog, and can flourish the spaces of downtown or the parks of Point Defiance.
Getting your puppy to Tacoma
We do puppy pickup at our home in Madras, and most of our Tacoma families enjoy making the drive — it's about four hours via I-5 and Highway 26, and it gives you a chance to meet the parent dogs and see our setup. If you’d prefer, we can also meet at Roberts Field (Redmond Airport, RDM) to shorten the trip. We can arrange delivery into Seattle-Tacoma International Airport (SEA) for an additional charge if you’d prefer to just pick up your puppy at SeaTac.
