BERNEDOODLE BREEDER — OAKLAND, CA
Bernedoodle Puppies for Oakland & the East Bay
Oakland's East Bay character — creative, community-minded, unpretentious — makes it a natural home for a bernedoodle. The Lake Merritt dog community, the Montclair Farmers Market on Sunday mornings, the trails in the Redwood Regional Park — there's a lot of life to live here with a dog who's warm, confident, and low-shedding.
High Desert Family Doodles is based in Madras, Oregon. We are the only bernedoodle breeder on the West Coast with both a GANA Gold Level and a Good Dog certification. We fly bernedoodle puppies into Oakland International (OAK) or SFO. Oakland families should also see our Oakland goldendoodle page if you're considering both breeds. View our available litters.
Health testing with real accountability
Our bernedoodle parents pass OFA hip, elbow, patella, cardiac, and eye clearances plus full genetic panels to the verified standards of GANA and Good Dog. Read about our parent dogs and health testing here. Every puppy comes with a two-year written health guarantee. Mini, medium, and standard bernedoodles available.
How We Raise Our Puppies for Oakland
Our puppies are born inside our family home in Madras and raised there through eight weeks. Early Neurological Stimulation begins in the first days of life, and we follow the Puppy Culture and BadAss Breeder curriculum throughout — building the confidence and social ease that serves a bernedoodle well in Oakland's varied, active urban environment.
Getting your puppy to Oakland
We fly into OAK or SFO — OAK is often more convenient for East Bay families. You're also welcome to fly into Roberts Field (RDM) or drive to Madras. Other Bay Area families should check our San Francisco bernedoodle page and San Jose bernedoodle page. When you're ready, apply for a puppy here.
