Why health testing matters for your Portland goldendoodle

That's why all of our goldendoodle parents are health-tested to the standards of both GANA and Good Dog before they ever enter our breeding program. This means genetic panels, OFA hip and elbow clearances, patella, cardiac, and eye screening. Many breeders use the word 'health tested' loosely — we want you to know exactly what that phrase means for us: it means every parent dog has passed rigorous, third-party-verified standards before a single litter is born.
We offer mini, medium, and standard goldendoodles, all with a two-year written health guarantee. We do all we can promote the highest level of health in our goldendoodle puppies.
How we raise our puppies
Our heart is that our goldendoodle puppies are raised in our home, not a kennel. From the first days of life, they are surrounded by people, sound, and the texture of real family life. This helps our puppies become confident and resilient in a world that’s full of surprises. We begin Early Neurological Stimulation (ENS) and Early Scent Introduction (ESI) in the first week — simple exercises that make a meaningful difference in how a puppy's brain develops.
As they grow, we follow the Puppy Culture and BadAss Breeder curriculum to give our puppies structured exposure to the world. They learn to solve simple problems, navigate new environments, handle handling, and trust people they've never met. By the time they come home to you in Portland, they've already started learning that the world is a safe and interesting place.
Getting your Goldendoodle puppy to Portland
A large percentage of the goldendoodle puppies that we raise go to homes in the Portland area. Almost everyone chooses to come over to our place to pick up their puppies. Pickup typically happens at our home in Madras, Oregon — a beautiful two-hour drive out Highway 26.
Many Portland families enjoy the trip and appreciate seeing the place their puppy came from and meeting the parent dogs in person. However, for the person who enjoys some flying, we're also happy to meet at Roberts Field (Redmond Airport, RDM) as a closer handoff point. Also, for families who prefer it, we can also arrange to fly your puppy into Portland International Airport (PDX).

A: Yes please! — and many Portland families do. It's a beautiful two-hour drive out Highway 26, and it gives you a chance to meet the parent dogs and see our setup before bringing your puppy home.
Q: What if I'd prefer not to make the drive?
A: We can meet at Roberts Field (RDM) in Redmond as a closer option. We also fly puppies into PDX for families who prefer it — just let us know and we can talk through what that looks like.
