Rosie; Our Petite Mini-Goldendoodle

Rosie, the petite mini-Goldendoodle, Seattle - Bellevue Washington

Our next member of the High Desert Family Doodle pack is our bubbly and sweet little nugget of sunshine, Ms. Rosie.

Rosie is on the line between a petite and mini Goldendoodle, but her heart is big enough for everyone she meets. She has an open wavy coat (+/- curl), and while she is intensely red, she also carries genes for sable, phantom, merle and parti. We are really excited to see how this combines with Brownie’s genes, because we are anticipating a “rainbow litter”. Each puppy could have a very different coat pattern and texture, while all of the puppies will be furnished.

While Goldendoodles are known for being intelligent - along with joyful - Rosie has been a quick student with a wide array of things. She enjoys learning, and has done a great job with both house-training, and also socialization. She is a very genial and confident mini-Goldendoodle, while also not being overly assertive.

Rosie’s a bit of a traveller, as she originally came from a breeder in North Carolina who specializes in dark red Goldendoodles with abstract markings. She did wonderfully with the flight across the country, and has been a stellar traveler in cars due to our rural location.

We like to think that she found us; we were originally drawn towards her litter because we were looking for a mini-Goldendoodle stud. However, we believe God’s hand was in it, because none of the male mini-Goldendoodle puppies were a genetic fit for what we were looking for. Here came Rosie though, who fit great. Plus, how could you say “no” to that face!

Rosie lives with a neighbor guardian family. They show her love and attention, and Rosie has flowered because of it. They give her space to roam, toys to enjoy, and a good lap to cuddle on. The guardian family also has our mini-Bernedoodle Klaire, so Rosie and Klaire are quite the team. While Rosie started out larger than Klaire since she was older, Rosie’s mini-Goldendoodle frame was quickly passed up by the more stocky and larger mini-Bernedoodle frame. Now, Rosie finds herself in a bit of a different situation from when she began.

It doesn’t bug Rosie at all though! She’s just as sociable, playful, and good-natured as she’s always been!

Rosie still has a couple health tests to pass in order to be a blue ribbon Goldendoodle through GANA. She needs to pass an OFA eye exam (CAER), and then also pass her OFA cardiac exam and OFA patella exam. All of these will take place later this spring. After she passes these clearances, she’ll receive the GANA blue-ribbon health-testing label.

We are expecting her to enter her heat cycle this June/July. We plan on breeding her with Brownie during this heat cycle, and are excited for what’s ahead! While this litter’s waitlist is currently full, people who are interested in a Rosie/Brownie mini-Goldendoodle puppy can apply get on our master Goldendoodle waitlist and indicate an interest in this litter. That way, they could be at the front of the line if we do have a larger litter.

If you have any questions about of journey - or are curious about our journey with Goldendoodle and Bernedoodle puppies, join us, and thanks for being here!

Warmly,

Erin and Jay
