Our New Goldendoodle Studs
We’ve started 2025 off with a bang here at High Desert Family Doodles. Buckle up for the cuteness, because we have two new hopeful goldendoodle studs.
Meet Benny and Bear!
Believe it or not, but these two mini Goldendoodle boys are not related! Whenever people see them together, they inevitably ask if they are brothers. The combination of their similar size, coloring, and coat texture make it an obvious inference. We even had one little boy tell us we were wrong, because he was certain they were related. Sorry to let you down! Nonetheless, these two boys are fully furnished, with straight red coats and a touch of some white abstract markings. Were anticipating their mature weights to be within a few pounds of each other - probably 25-30 pounds - which would make it even harder to believe these two mini goldendoodles are not related.
We have been thinking through the future, and analyzing ways to set up the High Desert Family pack for years to come. It became evident that we need to add a couple more Goldendoodle boys to help diversify our lines. So we reached out far and wide to find a couple goldendoodle good boys that fit our criteria for health and characteristics. You know what, we came across a lot of good stud prospects within our GANA breeder connections. We ended up finding both of these boys from a GANA breeder in Colorado.
It’s been wonderful seeing these two goldendoodle puppy studs become great buddies. They spend much of their time hanging out and playing with each other. They are also getting more comfortable with our other larger dogs around the house as they explore their world with a growing confidence. However, in the coming weeks, these two good boys will be going to their guardian homes in Sandy and Clackamas, Oregon.
As Benny and Bear become four months old, we will begin their health screening process. This begins with screening their hips and elbows through either an OFA or a Pennhip examination. If they pass these two tests, these Goldendoodles puppies will then go through their OFA cardiac, patella, and eye tests. This testing will happen before they turn one year old, and again after they reach that age. We do these screenings to make sure that we are breeding healthy dogs with healthy genes.
We will keep you all posted as these two awesome goldendoodle fellas go through their health screen, and are expecting both of them to sire some goldendoodle litters in the later have of 2024. We are thrilled to have these two gorgeous mini goldendoodles with us, and are excited of what is to come!
Thank you for being here!
Warmly,
Erin and Jay
