Belle’s Bernedoodle Baker’s Dozen!

Our spring season is in full swing here at High Desert Family Doodles, and it continues to be full of beauty and life! We were able to send off Maple’s goldendoodle litter to their forever homes. We have also been watching Klaire’s mini bernedoodle babies begin to display their temperaments and personalities as they only have a couple weeks with us. Belle did her best to steal the show though, as she delivered her largest litter to date, THIRTEEN beautiful healthy bernedoodle puppies. So were currently witnessing puppies in several different life stages, and it’s beautiful to see this growth arc in real time!

We got to hand off Maple’s last two mini Goldendoodle puppies last week, which was her first litter. Maple’s puppies are staying pretty close to us here in the Pacific Northwest. Four of her mini Goldendoodle puppies went to homes here in Oregon - two in Happy Valley, one in Lake Oswego, and one in Bend - while three puppies went to Washington - Edmunds, Vancouver, and Richland. As more and more of our Goldendoodles and Bernedoodles go to homes in Pacific Northwest, we’re seeing more and more beautiful connections - and the corresponding puppy play dates - made between member of the HDFD pack. We’re deeply humbled and thankful to see this community form and grow, a community marked with love, joy, and support.

Meanwhile, Klaire’s mini Bernedoodle puppies are almost seven weeks old; WHERE DID THIS TIME GO! We love the particular cuteness of this growth period, where they’re beginning to wag their tales and curiously explore the surrounding world. I’m particularly struck by how much this litter is drawn to people! In both familiar and novel places, these mini Bernedoodles would prefer to be with the people. It doesn’t matter if it’s cuddling, carrying, petting, training, or following; regardless of the activity, these mini bernedoodle puppies prefer the company of people. When I hold these puppies, I feel like they melt into my hands, thriving to be cherished in this way. Don’t get me wrong; they absolutely can get wild, playing and frolicking with the best of them. However, these mini Bernedoodle puppies do appear to be more tender and sociable, instead of autonomous and disagreeable. This litter’s puppy selection is this weekend, and we currently have one of these mini bernedoodle puppies still available.

So as we cherish our last days with Klaire’s mini Bernedoodle puppies, and nurture Belle’s medium bernedoodle puppies, we are getting prepared for Chloe and Rosie’s upcoming petite goldendoodle puppies. There’s a lot to celebrate about these litters, but one fun thing is that Chloe is actually Rosie’s first puppy. So mother and daughter dogs will be caring for their puppies together. How cute is that!? I know that it probably isn’t a big deal to them, but it feels so special for us to see two generations of HDFD mommas caring for their litters together. It just feels so harmonious!

In the midst of all this activity, we look forward to the sweet jewels of beauty and joy that are present right in the midst of it!

Warmly,

Erin and Jay
