While it may go without saying, each dog’s temperament and personality is different. This portrait aims to paint the Goldendoodle’s characteristics with broad strokes.
If a Goldendoodle was a person, they’d likely listen to Taylor Swift. They could be seen at coffee shops, happy hours, festivals, and anywhere that people gather in the spirit of joy. Bubbly and always the optimist, this socialite is the life of the party, and they make whomever they meet feel seen as a beautiful, enchanted treasure. While their enthusiasm can be so intense that it may feel contrived for some, they exude charisma and instantly lighten the mood of any room they enter.
Goldendoodles - “Golden doodles, Groodles”- are a hybrid between a Golden Retriever and a Poodle. The Goldendoodle can range in size from 10-90 lbs, and come in a variety of coat color and textures. Goldendoodles blend the Golden’s bubbly joy and loyal temperament with the poodle’s intelligence and frivolity. The Goldendoodle loves people - especially its family - and flourishes when around them. Some words that are typically used to describe a Goldendoodle are smart, loyal, exuberant, which makes this doodle a great family dog for energetic families who want their dog to have an active and bountiful presence!

Patsy
This is Patsy! She’s a mini Goldendoodle puppy in Bend, Oregon who is a prospective mom for High Desert Family Doodles.
She has a wavy merle tri-color coat and is under twenty pounds. Patsy brings joy to her guardian family -especially their children - and is a show-stopper around Bend and Redmond. Patsy has currently passed much of her health-testing (genetic, hip, elbow, eyes), and only has a couple more screenings to go. We are hopeful and expectant for Patsy puppies in late 2024!

Plum
Meet Plum, a hopeful mini Goldendoodle momma for us. She lives with Chloe in a guardian home between Bend and Prineville, Oregon, but also spends a lot of time in Cabo as well!
Plum is fully furnished with a wavy coat. She is also genetically clear and passed her hip and elbow testing. She still has some health-testing to pass, but we hope to see her mini Goldendoodle puppies in the winter of 2024-25!

Juno
Juno is a mini Goldendoodle female from Luca x Winnie’s Pooh litter, and a hopeful future mini Goldendoodle momma for High Desert Family Doodles. She lives with her guardian family in Bend, Oregon, and gets to enjoy all that Bend has to offer.
With her loose wavy coat, liver nose, and wonderful temperament, we’re looking forward to her first litter in 2024. This mini Goldendoodle has passed all of her GANA Gold level health testing. We're expecting her first litter in the Fall of 2024.

Brownie
Brownie is an AKC abstract phantom moyen poodle who came to Madras from just next door in Idaho. Brownie also carries red and parti. He is genetically clear with the exception of carrying one copy of CDDY, and he also has a WAVY COAT (+/- curl); this means many of his mini-goldendoodle puppies and standard goldendoodle puppies will have a straight coat! His Madras guardian said his coat reminds her of a certain perm she got back in the day. He has passed his Pennhip and OFA elbow prelim, along with his OFA cardiac, patella and eye test., He’s the papa of both medium goldendoodles and mini goldendoodles, along with our medium bernedoodles and mini bernedoodle puppies.

Luca
Luca is a multi-generational mini-goldendoodle who came to to us from another GANA breeder in Colorado. Luca is genetically clear, has a curly coat (+/+) and is fully furnished. He has passed his OFA hip and elbow prelims. Luca embodies the gregarious nature of Goldendoodles, as he has a cheerful and gregarious temperament. He will breed with our standard Goldendoodle Honey and our mini Goldendoodle Rosie in the future. Luca lives with a guardian family outside of Madras and is learning English and Spanish in his training - so as far as we know, he’s our first bi-lingual doodle!

Rudy
Rudy, our mini Goldendoodle stud who came to the Pacific Northwest from Utah. and currently resides in Madras. He is enthusiastic and lovable, and is always looking for someone to play with him. Rudy is clear of any Goldendoodle relevant genetic disorders, and has passed his OFA elbows and cardiac prelim, OFA eyes, and Pennhip testing (his Pennhip score is among the top 5% tightest in the breed, which is a big deal!). He also carries phantom (kbky ayat)! We are excited to pair him with a number of our goldendoodle dams, as their goldendoodle puppies will have wavy or straight coats.
